Hi, Does anybody have any pictures and or a guide of where the Vacumn Pipes on a Mk2 Ford Galaxy 2001 115Bhp TDi PD are located in the engine bay. :angry2:

This is in relation to a VAG-COM fault code I have read on the car "17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation" and I wish to remove pipework from the equation before proceeding to turbo charger removal.

Usual symptoms - lack of power going uphill and on flat ground, the MAF has already been replaced with a known good MAF which has made no difference.

Thanks in advance.

"17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation"

Sticky vane actuator

Not sure if this error needs to be reset by diagnostics.

Hi,

Took the car out today for 240 mile round trip. The car pulls and easily exceeds 70+ MPH with 6 people in it. However as soon as we hit an incline the Turbo output drops but the car can maintain approx 60MPH - although once it did drop to 50MPH. As soon as the car gets to the top of the hill the turbo kicks straight back in and stays there until the next incline.

It has had a brand new VW MAF this week, along with new filters, Miller PD oil, small filter at the back of air box has been checked and that is not blocked. I have checked all visible hoses for nicks, leaks and holes but none found.

I don't think it is sticky vanes as a turbo can kick in on a straight and deliver a very fast acceleration to 70MPH and keeps on pulling way past that. The only other sensor I can think of which will cause the ECU to go into limp mode would be the TMAP sensor - if that is faulty either due to blockage or having electrically drifted.

Is there a way to check the TMAP sensor either while it is on the car (VAGCOM) or on the bench with a multimeter - this would of course require knowing the known good values to compare against.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
